ART WHISPER
Stand in front of any painting.
Walk away with its story.
The wall label gives you a name and a year. We pick up where it leaves off, with the artist's life, the hidden details, and the story most visitors walk right past.

Where will you use it?
Keep scrolling. See what unfolds when you point your camera at any painting.
Save what you find. Your collection comes home with you, story and all.
Headphones are your move. The painting's on the wall, the voice tells the rest.
Start at the bottom. Eight paintings, eight rabbit holes, no commitment.
Or upload a photo you've already taken. Art Whisper works on those too.
HOW IT WORKS
Three steps to every story
Stop. Look. Let the story come to you.
Point
Hold your camera up to anything that catches your eye. A Vermeer in the Rijksmuseum, a sketch in a coffee-table book, a mural on the way to dinner.
Discover
Who painted it. When. Where it lives. The basics the wall label gives you, and quite a bit more.
Explore
Stay with it. Hear the artist's story. Trace the movement they belonged to. See what else they painted, and who they shaped after.
FEATURES
Everything the wall label leaves out
EVERY PAINTING, NAMED
Know what you're looking at
Hold your camera up to anything, or pull up a photo you've already taken. A Botticelli in the Uffizi, a mural on a back street, a snapshot from last summer's trip. We tell you what it is, who made it, and what they were thinking when they did.
ARTIST DEEP-DIVES
Meet the artist behind the masterpiece
Caravaggio's bar fights. Frida's accident. Hokusai changing his name thirty times. The lives behind the work, from Renaissance masters to forgotten geniuses.
AUDIO NARRATION
Listen, don't read
Tap once, slip in your headphones. Every story is told the way a friend would tell it, not the way a textbook would read it. Listen while you look, and let the painting keep your eyes.
YOUR PERSONAL GALLERY
Save what moves you
Build collections by trip, by mood, by century. Months later, the painting that stopped you in Madrid is still there, story and all.
WHO IT'S FOR
Three moments we built this for
The 40-minute painting
You walk into the Prado planning to glance at The Garden of Earthly Delights and move on. You stay forty minutes. For the first time, you actually see what’s in it.
The Tuesday morning mural
You’ve walked past the same mural every morning for a year. One rainy Tuesday you stop, point, and tap. The artist was a refugee. The story stays with you all week.
The kid’s question you can answer
Your kid asks who made the giant statue at the V&A. You don’t shrug. You both lean in. The next twenty minutes are the best part of the trip.
Real reviews coming soon. Until then, this is who we made it for.
Art is for everyone
Great art shouldn't require a degree. The stories behind it shouldn't sit behind museum labels or audio-guide rentals. Whether you're in the Louvre or noticing a mural on the way home, every painting has a story. We wrote it for you.
Built so the next time you visit a museum, you walk out with more than tired feet.

Before you tap install
Yes. A free Art Whisper account lets us save your discoveries across devices and keeps your personal gallery private to you. Sign in takes a few seconds with Google, Facebook, or email.
Art Whisper needs a connection to identify paintings and pull up their stories. Most museums have decent wifi these days, and 4G usually works fine inside galleries. We're working on offline support for saved artworks down the road.
It happens, especially with smaller galleries or lesser-known works. When it does, you can try again from a different angle, or submit the photo for our team to look at. Manual reviews aren't real-time, but next time you open the app, the answer might be waiting.
Not at all. Art Whisper works on any visual art you point your camera at: sculptures, prints in books, postcards, posters in a hotel hallway, murals on the street. If it has a story, we want to tell it.
No. You can point your camera at a painting in the moment, or upload a photo you've already taken. Both work the same way. Useful when you remember a painting from last year's trip but never caught its name.
The photo you scan goes to our servers to identify the artwork, then is deleted once it's processed. If we can't recognize it, we may keep the photo for up to thirty days to improve our accuracy, then delete it permanently. Location is optional. If you grant it, we use it to show you what's nearby. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
We're working on it. Android is live now; iOS is in development and we're aiming for later this year.
English at launch, with more languages on the way as our community grows.
Yes. We'd love to talk. Drop a note to partnerships@artwhisper.app and we'll be in touch.
Each story is written and produced specifically for the app. Not lifted from a textbook, not recycled from somewhere else. The goal is what you'd hear from a friend who happens to be a curator: warm, accurate, never dry.
